TABLE LEADERS GUIDELINE
Table Leaders Guideline
- Table Leader to review the process they are going to lead and facilitate the men in:
- Check In
- Big Idea Questions and Discussion
- Table Leader to affirm that this is a comfortable, safe place where we will honour and respect you and grow together as men
- Table Leader will facilitate the Check In and lead the process by sharing first, modeling what to share:
- What to share – Name, 1 or 2 Emotions, Praise Report
- Rules of Engagement:
- What is said here stays here. (Confidentiality=Safety)
- No cross talk – only one person shares at a time. (Respect)
- “I” statements – we share how we identify with what is shared – we don’t compare. (Encourage sharing from the heart not the head. Helps facilitate transparency through comfort that “I am no longer alone.”)
- This is a Christian meeting so we share appropriately as Christians. (Language and biblical truth must be monitored and corrections done in love.)
- We recognize a man for sharing by making eye contact and thanking him.
- We honour men for stating they would like to pass on sharing.
- What is said here stays here. (Confidentiality=Safety)
- Table Leader will facilitate the Big Idea Discussion and lead the process by sharing first, modeling a response to one of the questions unless another man is ready to share:
- Review the Rules of Engagement as listed above
- Have the men consider the Big Idea questions for a couple of minutes
- Ask the men if someone is ready to share
- If no men are ready to share the table leader is to share first
- Ensure that time is available as best as possible so that each man has an opportunity to share.
- Meeting leader will give you a 2 minute wrap up message
